Steve's songs have been recorded by Kenny Rogers\, Mark Chesnutt\, George Strait\, Darryl Worley\, Rhonda Vincent\, Neal McCoy\, Darius Rucker\, and others.  he won the Grammy award for penning the title cut for Ricky Skaggs' 2004 Best Bluegrass Album.
